Personal development is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realise and maximise their potential.
Personal development is a lifelong process; not a momentary incidence; it requires deliberateness and planning.
In planning, it is essential to be specific, strategic, and diligent to follow through. For any living thing to grow and develop, it must feed on certain things, which essentially includes food, water and air.
If you will become a better person progressively, you have to cultivate the culture of acquiring and consuming what will enhance your personal development.
If you don't make efforts towards becoming better, you may resultantly become bitter about the success of those who invested in their self improvement.
Do things that add value to you. Whatever takes your time without adding value to your life drains you.

1. Self acceptance: accept the reality of your personality and the need for you to change progressively.
2. Set realistic goals: draw a plan of things you want to do, with targets.
3. Expand your circle: increase your network with people who can add value to you. Attend seminars, conferences, and socialise with people.
4. Keep learning: consistently acquire knowledge; learning has no end. Read books, seek relevant information, and utilise them.
5. Get a mentor: a mentor will guide, help you to discover and develop your potentials faster than you probably can.
6. Surround yourself with like minds. Like minds sharpen, unlike minds make blunt and drains. Friendship is an acquisition, if it does not enhance your personal development, then you are being drained.
Your time is precious, make the best of it so that your life will be meaningful.
