Be wise enough to believe and obey
Faith and obedience go together. It takes faith to obey God completely. Men of faith are great people. One of the most beautiful periods of their lives is when nobody believes in them because they tend to follow God and therefore do illogical things.
At some points, only them sees and understands the picture God is showing, thus singularly knows the 'why' for doing 'what.' They may be lonely at periods like this, but it turns out beneficial for them because they can focus on God to build depth and strength.
Father Abraham can explain this better.
I wonder how he felt when God said, "Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, unto a land that I will show you:" (Genesis 12:1).
Also, what kind of thoughts would have run through his mind when the Lord said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of." (Genesis 22:2).
I thought, perhaps Father Abraham asked questions like: "Lord, do you really mean this? I can't tell anyone! So, how would I explain myself if people hear?"
But I discovered, God was checking for faith and obedience in father Abraham, so God only told him to take some certain steps without any clue of a definite destination. Isn't that senseless (so to say)? Not at all. The Lord had a great plan for him - a very big picture indeed.
Friend, there is a huge piece of wisdom here; it is, learning to hear God for our lives and obey Him accordingly; not being afraid or too mindful of what people would say.
Our actions of faith and obedience may not be sensible to people around us, but the results (blessings) of doing so would justify one as wise, to have made a sacrifice of life to God.
Remember, without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Our faith and obedience touches and moves God more than praises. So, be wise to give your best!
