Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you (Isaiah 60:1-2, KJV). Verily, verily the earth is in a thick darkness. As the minds of men are becoming blind to God and the dignity of manhood, confusion and turmoil are spreading across the nations. We see the menace of poverty, diseases, terrorism, war and various troubles ravaging. Yet the highest degree of darkness resides in the human mind whereby in subtle manner, sinful acts which are merely comparable to such of beasts as it were in Sodom and Gomorrah are being legalised and propagated under the guise of civilization and they are turning out to becoming part of the normal daily life of men. JESUS IS GOD! "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;" (Colossians 1:19, KJV) "For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9, UKJV).  Jesus is God because He is everything that the Father is. He is the express image of God the Father. He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. Together with the Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son co-exist. Jesus is the Creator, Saviour, Helper, Teacher, Healer, Jehova, Man of war, Ancient of days, Alpha, Omega, Lord of host, the Lord God Almighty and all that the Father is.

Hebrews 12:2A "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" (KJV). Building a perfect lifestyle is centred around looking unto Jesus. This surfaces in two aspects.  First, a sinner who has to look to Him for the salvation of his soul and secondly a saint who needs to learn the lifestyle of whom he believes in and has decided to follow. Looking unto Jesus is a deliberate focus of the heart on Him in order to discover His personality which is the infallible pattern a believer has to adopt for building a distinguished virtuous lifestyle.

Describing the Lord Jesus Christ in words is actually infinite and ineffable, reason being that for the human mind He is unfathomable. We can only highlight just a few of the much the bible tells us about Him. Understanding of the bible comes by revelation which comes by searching. Therefore, searching for Jesus is proportional to knowing Him. The extent or depth to which any man can know or understand Jesus is dependent on how much such one pants for Him and digs into the bible, for therein is His personality revealed. The first fact to establish about Jesus Christ is that He is the Son of God - the only begotten Son.
