Opportunity and timing

OPPORTUNITY AND TIMING
I wonder what the event was like in the days of Noah, when the Lord intended to destroy the earth.

Though the bible does not make mention of any conversation that transpired between Noah and other people, but I try to imagine perhaps there were some dramatic scenes on that day.

In case some people attempted or pleaded to be accommodated in the ark when it started to rain and the flood was approaching, how did Noah respond to the people who have rejected God in their hearts?

Could it have been something like? "Hey people! Sorry, it's too late, the door is already shut. You had enough time to consider and heed the call of God but you chose to despise it. As you can see, it's already raining and I was instructed to keep the door open only before the rains."

This event reveals to me that opportunities do not last forever; not even that of salvation. Hence, it is crucial to always know what God wants us to do, when it has to be done and do just that within the appropriate period stipulated for it.

Opportunities expire because they are time fixed. If missed within its availability period, it may never resurface. Though the Lord is a God of another chance, He expects us to make the best use of all divine opportunities we have.
